VENICE LIDO

Stay in central Venice Lido: choose Cristallo Hotel

Hotel Cristallo is situated in the central part of Venice Lido which features several attractions and things to do.

Venice Lido, the island that sets the boundary between Venice Lagoon and the sea, is basically made up of three parts:

San Nicolò
Lido bEACH
The ancient hamlet of Malamocco (Metamauco)

Venice Lido’s San Nicolò
Venice Lido west section hosts the  Nicelli airport (for private flights), the church of  San Nicolò -  which once treasured  the mortal remains of the patron saint of sailors - and the Jewish cemetery, which is one of the most ancient in Europe   (1389)  and attracts  visitors from all over the world.

Lido Beach
Following lungomare D’Annunzio seafront avenue you can admire the Lido beach, one of the most sophisticated in the area, also awarded the FEE Blue Flag. Extremly fine sand and beaches lined with distinctive huts make it unique.

Ancient Malamocco
The third section with the ancient hamlet of Malamocco (Metamauco) lies further ahead. The settlement was founded as early as in Roman days but it was only later, between the 5th and the 7th century, that its population grew when refugees from the Padana Plane (mainly people for Treviso and Padua) reached it pushed away by the barbarian invasions.
Malamocco is rightfully deemed one of the most ancient sites in the whole Venetian Lagoon and, from 742 to 812 AD, was seat of the Doges as well.

A Family hotel
Easy vaporetto trip into Venice and also a short walk to a great swimming beach. My 8 year old daughter loved it. Staff were very helpful.

Perfect location
Great hotel in a perfect location on Lido di Venezia. Good breakfast, bread rolls, speck, cheeses, yogurt, cake, coffee, juices. Overall an excellent choice. The two Andreas are wonderful. Ask for restaurant recommendations--they will put you off the beaten path to places only locals go, which will keep you away from the tourist traps and you will eat very well.

Come to visit Venice and Venice Beach

Come and enjoy Hotel Cristallo amenities and warm welcome and visit Venice and the Lido

You will love a bicycle ride through the three parts described above and enjoy discovering the mix of architectural styles drenched in history.

Experience stunning and evocative beach life at the Lido with Hotel Cristallo beach hut.

If you carry on and leave the central part of Venice Lido, where Hotel Cristallo is located, you reach piazzale del Casinò square and the first premises of Venice Casino, a true example of 20-century rationalism.

Next to it stands the Palazzo del Cinema where Venice Film Festival, the unmissable appointment for directors, actors and experts in the field, takes place every year.
