This is the perfect time to enjoy a weekend in Venice because our famous museums and monuments are open, including shops, restaurants, and the typical “bacari” (traditional Venetian taverns), while the city is also enjoying a peaceful period with fewer tourists and a relaxed atmosphere.
If you’re not sure how to best enjoy a weekend in Venice, we first suggest that you book a room with us at the Venice Lido, comfortably reached by car and with a convenient vaporetto stop 100 meters away that can take you to Piazza San Marco in 15 minutes, and directly to the most important museums and exhibition venues in Venice in just a few more minutes, including the Pinault Collection at Punta della Dogana, the Guggenheim, the Gallerie dell'Accademia, the Ca 'Pesaro, Palazzo Grassi, and the Ca' d'Oro.
The Doge's Palace in Piazza San Marco is also open and can be visited, as can the other civic and national museums. Magnificent exhibitions with the Pinault Venice Foundation have also been confirmed for autumn 2020, and the famous 2020 Biennale exhibition will be open in the central pavilion of the Giardini until 8 December.
For authentic Venetian shopping, there are plenty of fabulous Venetian shops for clothing, accessories, and other artisanal products in Rialto, while the traditional spritz at l'Erbaria, also in Rialto, can be enjoyed in typical restaurants with outdoor seating.
For those who book directly with us, Hotel Cristallo offers free breakfast and a complimentary bottle of prosecco in your room upon arrival.
We’ll be waiting for you in Venice, at the Lido!
