The 2020 Architecture Biennale has been postponed to the end of summer, from 29 August to 29 November 2020. The dates have been changed due to the current international emergency, but the location will remain the same: the Biennale Gardens and the Arsenale. This latest edition of the Biennale has also confirmed the location in Forte Marghera, Mestre’s evocative exhibition space. Hotel Cristallo can still be found in the same location as well: close to the Architecture Biennale, in the peaceful Lido of Venice, and just two vaporetto stops from the Gardens.
114 architects from 46 countries will be competing at the Venice 2020 Biennale dedicated to Architecture with the theme of "How will we live together?”. This title was proposed by the curator of the Architecture Biennale, Hashim Sarkis, asking participants to explore new solutions for living together in an increasingly complex world. For the first time in 2020, the Architecture Biennale will also be hosting two sections separate from the competition called Station and Cohabitants, with projects by university researchers from all over the world. Meanwhile, "How will we play together?" is the theme of the exhibition in Forte Marghera, featuring architects and architectural photographers. Another new addition to the 2020 Architecture Biennale will be the large installations on display in the outdoor spaces of the Biennale Gardens and the Arsenale.
Hotel Cristallo will be waiting for you as always, ready for the Venice Biennale. Follow us on Facebook @HotelCristalloVenezia for regular updates with the latest news and special offers!
